Grief is hard, and there’s no manual for how to navigate it. But you don’t have to do it alone. The Grief Support Group will be a place to share, heal, and grow with others who understand the challenges of loss. I look forward to guiding each participant through their unique grief journey and helping to create a space for healing, hope, and connection.

The Labrador West Status of Women’s Centre (LWSWC) has always been at the heart of community empowerment, offering support and advocacy for marginalized individuals in Labrador West. Established in 1980 as the Labrador West Women’s Resource and Information Centre, this marked the first time in Labrador West that physical space was dedicated for coming together, expanding resources, and helping women and the wider community.

Since its founding in 1977, the Labrador West Status of Women’s Centre (LWSWC) has been a steadfast ally for women in Labrador. In a mining town where the workforce and community life have traditionally been male-dominated, we recognized early on the challenges women faced in accessing education, skills development, and opportunities for community involvement. Our commitment to supporting and empowering women in Labrador West has only grown stronger over the years.

At the Labrador West Status of Women, we are deeply committed to advancing the health and wellness of women and gender-diverse individuals in our community. We recognize that good health goes beyond just physical well-being—it encompasses mental, emotional, and social health as well. In our small but resilient community, access to comprehensive health services can be a challenge, and we believe in working together to ensure that everyone has the support they need to thrive.

Since its inception, the Labrador West Status of Women has been dedicated to enhancing access to essential services for women and gender-diverse individuals in our community.
