All women and gender-diverse individuals.
We are committed to supporting all women and gender-diverse individuals. Our services are specifically designed for individuals who identify as women, non-binary, transgender, or gender non-conforming, as well as those who may face discrimination or marginalization due to their gender identity.
We recognize that the experiences, challenges, and needs of women and gender-diverse people can vary widely, and we strive to offer inclusive and compassionate support that is tailored to the unique circumstances of each person. Whether it’s through access to safe housing, health services, legal advocacy, or educational programs, we aim to provide resources that promote empowerment, safety, and well-being for everyone who identifies with our mission.

The Labrador West Status of Women Council is not a shelter. However, we are deeply committed to supporting individuals who are fleeing situations of abuse, and we work closely with a wonderful local shelter that provides emergency housing and essential support for women and children in crisis.
The shelter, Hope Haven, offers a safe haven for those escaping domestic violence and other forms of abuse.
