Kim

Kim Martin Dyer is the Executive Director at LWSWC, where she oversees day-to-day operations of the organization, leads efforts in securing funding, works closely with the board of directors, actively supports women in our community by providing guidance and connecting to resources in areas such as housing, family planning, and legal aid.

With a passion for advocacy, social justice, and community building, Kim is dedicated to empowering women and fostering a safe, supportive community space. Prior to joining LWSWC, Kim worked as a Crisis Intervention Worker with Hope Haven for 15 years as well as a Housing Support Worker for the Labrador West Housing and Homelessness Coalition.

Kim brings a wealth of knowledge and experience in social justice and advocacy, supporting personal growth and development, educational outreach and improving access to resources. Kim has been dedicated to supporting the people of Labrador West for many years and in many different forms. She is committed to continuing this work with the needs of the women of Labrador West at the forefront.

Kim holds a Bachelor Degree in Sociology from UNB. Outside of work, she is a dedicated mom of two and enjoys spending time with her family, engaging in arts and crafts and outdoor activities. Kim has a long history of involvement on community boards and is passionate about participating in various supportive activities that benefit the community.

Kim is excited to continue advancing the mission of LWSWC and contribute to its vision of empowering women and gender-diverse people while working to strengthen the community of Labrador West.
